Surprised not to see any threads on the re-issue of Pearl Jam's Ten. Received the collector's boxed edition today and very surprised at the amount of detail that went into the packaging and contents.
Also, the crispness of the redux version is hard to describe. Definitely makes one of the best albums of all time somehow sound even better.
Contents included 3 LP's, 2 CD's, 1 DVD, 1 Cassette Tape, Poster, Backstage Pass, Concert Ticket, Sticker, 2 Posters, 3 Postcards, Ed's Journal, and 5 Pictures.
I'm a die hard fan, so it was an easy coin drop for me. Kudo's to their creative director for art and packaging.

A backstage pass and concert ticket? To what show?
You know they're fakes, right?
I hope you have a record player and a decent system, or else those LPs are worthless.

ok, one last "plug" then I'm done. You can hear 14 full length sample tracks from all the artists here:

The backstage pass and tickets are fake, but it's just a cool relic they added to make the whole celebration of their experience that much more tangible. They could have just released the redux, a few pictures in a box and stamped it PJ, but they went the extra mile for true Pearl Jam fans.
I spent 125.00 for it which is my first ever box set from any artist, so to me it was well worth it.
twokids, it makes me feel old now that they refer to Ten as a classic and knowing that kids who were born when the album was released are now on their way to college.
Amazing to think that this is my "Elvis Presley" to my kid.. haha
- heh, yeah I'm in the same boat, though my boy is only 5 months old...Scotch_Roman
- But you'd better damn well believe he'll grow up knowing about PJ :)Scotch_Roman

There hasn't been an explosion and movement like that since. Good times.

As far as the LP's go, I am thinking about having them framed to go in my office along with other music memorabilia. I would like to add a PJ autographed guitar to go with it, but probably will not find a "genuine" one.

One more thing, they are going to do this with each of their albums until their 20th anniversary which in itself is a feat that no one else has really done, well at least not to this extent.

I am still trying to raise $75k to drop shrooms with Josh Freese and ride around Hollywood in Danny Carey's Lamborghini.
