what if the place doesn't have chairs like the ones in the logo? the customers would be like.. wtf?
- they would just be boring regular chairs. what a let-down.iCanHazQBN
- What? Made out of jam?MrOneHundred
- no, just all funky like that. there are chairs like that.iCanHazQBN
- While i don't think you necessarily need the chairs to match, there should be a certain amount of funkiness in the placelocustsloth

there would be a subconscious visual comparison carried out by the customers... eyes going back and forth from the logo to the chairs & tables around them. something will not sit right with them (no pun intended). (if, of course, the client cannot match the funkyness of the chairs in the logo with the chairs on the floor).
- Good opportunity to expand the brief.MrOneHundred
- can one guarantee the client will make the designer's request to have funky chairs?iCanHazQBN

i keep wanting to type a whole bunch of stuff about why you dont need the chairs, but im drained and tired. so...
anyway, if you want a professional logo - one that actually looks like a BRAND and has considerably longer lasting value, go with the type-only.
two empty chairs = boring. looks like nobody is there, and nobody WANTS to be there. thats why the customers will see when they see the chairs.
think of the store signage and how the squarish logo setup with the chairs might force the logo to be smaller (type will be smaller and less visible) in cases where there is a lot more horizontal space than vertical space for placement of the logo - such as in a strip mall.

- the vast majority of shopping centers have very wide areas for signage/logos.iCanHazQBN
- type-only logo would sit much better and have more visibility.iCanHazQBN

I would suggest making the font a little more loopy or curvey and larger but looks pretty good

- ...assuming the client is anticipating growing to various locations in the future.iCanHazQBN
- the logo needs to be ready to fit most signage spaces cleanly without being modified.iCanHazQBN
- 2nd Photo/Logo: Furniture is overpowering the type. Is it a furniture store??? who the fuck knows.iCanHazQBN
