So... seems like this word gets tossed around an awful lot here. My mother would dig up the bones of my dead ancestors, fasten those bones into weapons and then proceed to kill me with them if she ever heard me utter that word. Is it a cultural thing? I know you UKers don't seem to mind dropping it at a dime...
Thoughts?

When I first came here I was shocked by it. It is a shocking word, probably the last shocking swearword in the English language, but through QBN I have personally become desensitised to it.

It's tossed around with more ease in the UK I think. Doesn't have the same *gasp* factor there that it does here (in the US).
- I disagree. I think it has more *gasp* factor in the US..d_rek

I wouldn't be able to stand anyone who used it too often (out loud, in public, anyway). Same with similar words.

I told a group of friends (a lot of women present) that I thought there was nothing with the word cunt and all women are pretty much cunts anyways. It didn't go well, but at least they know where I stand.
- see, this all comes down to context. the word has to be appropriately usedkelpie
