moveinspace - it was amazing to spend a couple days there. Absolutely beautiful space, blurring lines between inside and out, amazingly furnished, comfortable, and completely off grid. Very isolated high above Pioneertown, which is above Joshua Tree.
It was just so quiet there, with great light. When we woke up in the morning it's like you're outside, yet with all the homey comforts. Didn't want to leave. Wish I had the money to afford something like it.
- I also took a million pics. Will post sometime soon.arthur
- sounds nice. love that prefab. thanks for the follow up!moveinspace

It's crap to see in person.Bembo - i hear that. many of these crazy shape building appear pretty cool in the pictures but in person, not so great.tkmeister
- It did look really cool when it was just girders and builders lights. Sort of like a Russian Futurist sculpture.Bembo

Universita Luigi Bocconi. By Grafton Architects, Dublin. This won the World Architecture Festival's first World Building of the Year Award. The Irish firm's design beat out 224 shortlisted buildings from 43 countries. The jury -- composed of Cecil Balmond, Ricky Burdett, Charles Jencks, Süha Özkan, and chair Robert Stern -- were impressed by "its physical and conceptual density, [which] takes the touch, rebarbative DNA of Milan and 'lifts its skirts.'"
- really need some trees.akrokdesign
- Hmm, about as anti pedestrian as you can get. Dunno, parts are interesting, but a little too brutal for my tasteformed
