This album is 20 years old this month!
There is rumours of a reform later this year - although they are being denied by Ian Brown's management - saying he's too busy doing his own new album and John Squire is too busy putting together his next exhibition.

now I feel really old, thanks.

yes! i am 33 in a few days. remember when i picked up this from old shity record store...
- 23kon0
hehe yeah me too (33) makes me feel old.
'She Bangs The Drums' was the first 12" I ever bought.Fingers crossed that if they DO get back together it's done well and Ian Brown maybe gets some singing/tuning lessons beforehand - his gigs are rediculously hit or miss to whether he sounds good or not.

when this record came out, and I bought it, I was already older than many of you

Love this album. I bought it on vinyl when it came out. I was in grade eight and my friend's older brother was heavy into anything out of manchester at that time (including james, unfortunately...).
Fun times.

I really hope they don't reform, no good can come of it.
But one of the best songs from that album!

Agree with you there Chossy.
Charlatans are a VERY rare band in the sense that they've been consistantly good and also everchanging and never dissapointing.
"Between 10th & 11th" is always on my playlist, and i just took "The Charlatans - The Charlatans" CD into the car this morning for the next few weeks playlist.Oh yeah, Tim Burgess IS Peter Pan. He just HASNT aged!
- not a lot of bands can match their consistancy23kon
- really sad when they lost their keyboard player, they lost a bit of edge and talent...robotron3k
- I agree about the loss of Rob Collins. He was half their cool vibe and sound...great live tooKrassy
