still looks funky. colors are weird too, both are too strong.

3 and 1 (in that order)

strong mark.
im thinking 1/2 is best also - yeah more space between the type and icon. keep working on it, could be very nice if you get it spot on.looking at it maybe 3 is good too but needs a little more work too.

for what it's worth definitely the original no.1
Slab Serif gives you the strength this is looking for, and doesn't compromise the M as much as the lowercase I does.
- Cheers. I agree. Client doesnt though. :-/ Not all bad. Im pretty happy with the sans version.baseline_shift

I think I'd like it more with a capital 'I' and a bit narrower since it's not "imageMark"
- Its just an M without the dotbaseline_shift
- So?such
- It would be an I & M.such

- Right on. I actually looked at all this. Putting the crotch of the M on the baseline simplifies it, but starts looking like I V I.baseline_shift
- I also found the isometric perspective to be far less dynamic than the one i used. (though its fudged slightly)baseline_shift
- ah ok cool then - sounds like you did your homework.inkpink
- yup! :) Thanks for the imput, though. Extra eyes on the project always help!baseline_shift
- Antonelli0
- goes better with the narrowness of the type underneath it.Antonelli
- cheers. It does look sharp. The thing is, this is a manufacturer, so i want the mark to be really solid and stable. Im going to give this some thought.baseline_shift
- give it some though. Thanks.baseline_shift

Type and logo still seems a bit disconnected to me. It'd be nice if the top point of the M in the logo lined up with that hard line of M in the type, its just short of it right now.

Boring...

Lose the slab serif, looks like University of Michigan, which is a pretty recognizable M. I like 3, is it not effective if the "i" is capitalized? Type is a bit big, IMO. Great concept tho!
