WTF - Isn't this shit illegal? He's like Zangif and Mr. T in one...
- SoulFly0
they don't have too much experience in street fight. 200 punches and no damange.
Kimbo lost a MMA with one punch.
- dirtydesign0
Yup Kimbo could barely get through the first round of his last MMA fight.

A cute name, but one big violent dude
- airey0
i can't wait for "Kimbo in the bighouse getting the beat-down".
- You'd need two chairs to fry that dude.waterhouse
- Still.waterhouse

gotta respect kimbo cause he's from MIA.
but as far as MMA goes, he'll get DESTROYED in UFC.... he's nowhere near ready for that level.... as we saw by some hillbilly knocking him out with some lame punch.
he's not ready.....
fedor would *destroy* him.
- forget fedor. Most ufc heavyweights would beat him.baseline_shift

Kibo got his ass beat by gannon, his posse stepped in as much as possible during that fight. Still though jeeeeeesus !!!!! eeeekkk

You guys all talk smack, yet you'd pee in your pants in the ring.

I fucking wouldn't put me in the ring with anyone that weighs the same as me and I'll go at it no fucking problem. Kurram is a competative fighter on here in maua thai? I am not entirely sure if this is the sport he competes in but I am sure he would be able to assure you that he'd be up for getting licked in the ring.
I personally would love a fucking fight get rid of some aggression. I couldn't give a stuff if I got my ass beat at least I got the chance to swing a few.- I have been looking at boxing gyms of late but they are pretty crappy the ones I have found.chossy
- In a controlled environment, you have nothing to fear. Your body goes into fight-or-flight modeKhurram
- and its like a natural anaesthetic where you dont feel experience hardly any of the pain.Khurram
- I would never start shit on the streets, however.Khurram
- Also, i don't do Muay Thai to get rid of the aggression. It's more my masochism that drives me.Khurram
- I.E i enjoy the nihilism of getting twatted and training like a mofo to self-destruction.Khurram
- I see what you are saying kuz, I always appreciate you telling us what it's like.chossy
- no worries man. i enjoy talking about this shit. It's like my passion. xKhurram

I don't understand why people would fight in UFC or MMA with the risks involved. These guys are pretty powerful, and one wrong hit to the eye socket and there's permanent eye damage for life. Seems too risky in my opinion.
- Because it is a sport which pays good money, and people need to do what they are good at.chossy
- Boxing in my opinion is more dangerous than MMA.chossy
- It is in a lot of ways. Look at Ali. A bazillion thumps to head = serious brain damage. They say the 8oz ufc gloves are acutally safer, long termbaseline_shift
- safer long term.baseline_shift
- Safer than boxing and and that crazy X-games shit I think..TheBlueOne

Kuz is the man to speak to about this kind of thing as like I say he is competing right now or soon, he is also very forthcoming with information about training and mentality and general tips about it, I think he would be able to elabourate on what makes these people tick allot better than I could.

I love the fact that you are not going to go down this route because you are aware that you might get your eye socket damaged Kolor.

Well there really is a professional "MMA style" now, isn't there? It didn't exist ten years ago, when you had everyone train in some sort of art (Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, etc..) and then try to round out their skill set. Now the sport itself has a distinctive skill set that guys train for, and then only go to those specialized arts for brushing up. It's an interesting turn.
A cat like Kimbo, who was a street brawler, just like say Tank Abbott, simply can't compete anymore in the sport. Maybe ten years ago, but today? Forget it...

Firstly, i would beat the living shit out of Kimbo, you fat fuck.
Second of all, MMA is far and away safer than boxing. In boxing the head/brain is a specific target, with the object of knocking your opponent unconcsious. There is a limited number of strategies you can employ, in boxing, to protect a pounding to the head.
In MMA however, and more aggressive sports such as Muay Thai - the head is just one of many targets, and is not always the most efficient. The use of elbows, knees, grabs, take-downs, grappling etc... And the defensive techniques used means your head is far far better defended.
As far as i'm concerned, broken bones are easily mended. But brain damage is irreversible.

When I was a kid, I was hit in the head with a baseball bat, yes. And had a mild concussion. I was also mugged when I was 19, and had another concussion. The more concussions you get, the more suceptible you are to concussions so that's why I try to avoid fights today. I need my brains for development. It's my lively hood.

Some people are all about self-preservation...

As a Krav Maga student I can say that I find training/fighting far more valuable than lifting weights and running mindlessly on a treadmill.
Krav philosophy... get yourself out of violent situations as quickly and effectively as possible. Whatever it takes.- krav magna don;t you spread that on toast he he ... dinae hit ees.chossy
