Well there really is a professional "MMA style" now, isn't there? It didn't exist ten years ago, when you had everyone train in some sort of art (Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, etc..) and then try to round out their skill set. Now the sport itself has a distinctive skill set that guys train for, and then only go to those specialized arts for brushing up. It's an interesting turn.
A cat like Kimbo, who was a street brawler, just like say Tank Abbott, simply can't compete anymore in the sport. Maybe ten years ago, but today? Forget it...
