Why is it not a law that the police have to show you the fuckin radar when you get pulled over for speeding? Got a ticket this weekend for going 60 in a 50..What the Fuck!

Actually if you contest, there are details lawyers can ask for... about the radar gun, about the police officer. At least in WA.
I've taken cases to court before.

the radar should print out a little ticket with a picture of your car. the time and speed.

I know you can fight it...It just seems like with the technology today....they should be able to show you proof on the spot

if you contest it it doesn't always stand up in court which is why they always try to get an admission.. "do you know why i pulled you over?"

Fight it, go to court and ask to a certified record of when the radar was last tested for its accuracy, if the police can not produce one, the judge should throw the case out.

tell them your speedometer is busted and present a receipt for the repairs in court

i got busted for doing 142 in a 100 km/h zone. That's 8 km/h away from having your car taken away, an automatic license suspension, and a potential 10,000 fine.
I still contend that I was not going 1 click above 120.
It was 2am and the roads were fucking EMPTY.

got a ticket a while back for not making a complete stop at a stop sign at 1:30am. I guess I was still rolling a little.
