Cinema is dead.

The first one was way overrated.....why make a second? It can only get worse.

What a shame ... looks lame. And why does their always have to be EVIL at work. I would have said something more realistic like "there is something fucking up our shit right now."

ah didnt realise it was his sis, thought it was some other random chick somewhere else in the world. (that'd have been a better idea - then tying the three films into one story in the last film)
i think anyway lol

hrm ..........
i guess there could be as many sequels as they want ... just repeat the same kind of story (cheating destiny or whatever) for numerous people over and over.
this sequel BETTER be good otherwise they'll get a slating.
the thing that made the original so good was it was set in the 80s with a killer soundtrack too. this one looks like its more recent - maybe 90s? so it better have a killer soundtrack too.
but i fear this one might have a completely different feel - not as dark.
what they could do for Donnie Darko III is to tie all three films together into one story in the way that the Three Colours Trilogy works. that idea might actually save their ass if the second film is a flop.

so sad...
"The kid sis of DONNIE DARKO is back as that character in a questionable direct-to-vid sequel called S. DARKO. And while filmmaker Richard Kelly isn't involved, the follow-up (set seven years after Jake slept with a jet engine) seems to have at least attempted to capture the tone of the original.
In the movie, Donnie's fine teen sibling Samantha is on a road trip with friends when she starts experiencing bizarre visions (like the chick from SHOWGIRLS)."
