"The kid sis of DONNIE DARKO is back as that character in a questionable direct-to-vid sequel called S. DARKO. And while filmmaker Richard Kelly isn't involved, the follow-up (set seven years after Jake slept with a jet engine) seems to have at least attempted to capture the tone of the original.
