Your entire computer will, not just those programs. Use a font manager.

wow. I'm surprised you don't know about this...
You need a font manager like Linotype's Font Explorer X or some shit like that. This will display all you fonts in an organized manner and you will activate the ones you need when you need them.

makes sense but how does that work with the font folder in the control panel ?

Don't use Linotype FEX with Windows, it never got out of beta. Get Extensis Suitcase, or basically any other font management software (Google is your friend). Then you can activate the fonts you want to use, and the rest is just there, not slowing your system down.
- yeah. I used Extensis like 6 yrs ago when i was still uncool and wasn't working with macs yet. Try it. For macs go linotype.VectorMasked
- is extensis free ?liveforever

It has not relation to the fonts folder of the pc.
You just created your own folde ron your desktop or whatever and you dump all your fonts there. Then with this font manager, you just import them in there and kaboom! you have you entire library (the folder you had created) at you rfingertips.

like any program, create a system restore point before installation. i'm us-based, and that may be why jimbo experienced difficulties with fex: uk vs us machines. good luck.

it sounds like it messed with yr system fonts. shit, sorry.
- you did tell him to create a system restore point before installing. he didn't listen.monospaced
- jaylarson0
right click on yr desktop, choose the bottom option which is properties. choose the second to the right tab which to me is Appearance. click on the bottom of two buttons on the right (not the bottom row). This is the advanced. Are you then able to click on any of the areas therein and be given font choices for each region of a window?

sorted for meantime
just reinstalled the system fonts............. phew

(on pc)font explorer creates a sort of image of the font windows folder, dont remove anything or prepare yourself for shit(pop ups telling you "do you want to buy the font), fucking hideous software.
