Documentary-style wedding photograper based in North Sydney. Fullscreen site (at client's request).

Try launching the website with the Flash Full-screen function, instead of an HTML full-screen.

needs forward and back buttons.
showing too many images - could edit out about half

I'd agree about the subnav, it took me a while to notice it - would it be better on the right? On the contact form - it seems a bit odd that the selected field fades out when it's selected.
Other than those two nit-picks, I really like the site - nice sympathetic treatment. Looks great and functions well.

Photography is dead. Long live photography.

Thanks for the feedback, guys.. it's very much appreciated! :}
Mark Anderson is the nicest guy - he is quiet and unobtrusive so we tried to have the site reflect his personality. We love his documentary style photography. Will definitely consider some of these suggestions! :}

Should it default to a slideshow in case you don't see the "1, 2, 3 .."? Gotta keep in mind that people looking for wedding photography don't necessarily have any internet skills. It is gonna be dumb people, moms, etc. Gotta cover your bases for the lowest (slowest) common denominator.
Other than that, I like the look.

Hi T :}
Yes, we're still thinking about how we can improve the navigation... Mark's clients are mainly professionals and lawyers - he doesn't know how or why but they seem to love the unposed docco-style photos. We're confident that they'll be smart enough to navigate through the site but would still like to make it more intuitive. Thanks again everyone... your feedback has been really encouraging!

thats actually some pretty good packages he does eh?
im not a wedding photgrapher expert here but a mate that got married last year was bitching about the photographer not releasing all the photos and they had to pay to get them, also the electronic ones they got had watermarks so they couldnt print them out themselves
seems like your man mark gives you them all on a dvd - sweet.

Yes, he hands over everything over on a DVD! He's such an honest guy and I can't begin to tell you how easy it's been working with him.. he was a dream client from the beginning! I really hope that the site generates more interest in his work and people book him from it.. he's quite shy and unobtrusive so it's a very particular niche - he won't do posed shots so the result is beautifully candid. Okay.. I'll stop gushing now! My partner and I are just in love with his work! :}

"needs forward and back buttons"
Agree, its a pain to click all those small numbers. It look good but its not ergonomic.
otherwise it look awesome!

not a fan of the sub nav but i dig the photos

Yes, we're working on the 'back and forward' navigation functions! So you'll be able to click on the right half of the image to go forward and the left half to go back.. the cogs are turning! :}
