In my experience a 50cc is seriously underpowered for the roads. Its puny engine and the average weight of a grown adult = not enough acceleration to get you out of tricky situations and buses overtaking you on hills. Go for at least a 100cc or get a 125 motorcycle (with a lockable topbox for your lid) you'll have better road presence, sit higher up so have a better view of the road and will beat 90% of traffic off the line upto about 40mph.

too big, i will kill myself after 1 ride. I need a little girl scooter with a small engine :D
50cc is enough to ride the city. Max speed in montreal are 30Km/h to 70km/h ... I can get t0 80Km/h with a 50cc scooter.
- Nah bigger bike = better stability & better brakes. Also sustaining 80kmh for prolonged periods on such a small engine is annoying to the rider and tiring for the engineDevilman
