What do you guys do with PNG transparencies and older IE browsers.
I just wanna tell people to get fucked when they tell me that PNGs are rendering funny on their machines.
They're clearly using IE fucking five point fucking five or something just as old. I just want to reply with a link to getfirefox...
Are there any PNG fixes out there that actually work?

We generally just do a separate style-sheet for IE6 to fix its myriad of eccentricities, including replacing the PNGs with GIFs (no alpha blends, etc).
Have also used this: http://www.twinhelix.com/css/iep… but it's just as reliable to build out separate stylesheets for IE6.

I've occasionally chosen the "get fucked" approach as well. Probably not my most professional position.
Regardless, I feel your pain on this one.

I love PNGs, so it makes me sad when it looks horrible in IE. Nowadays I do separate stylesheets for FF and IE, and I will use the PNGs for FF since the transparency allows for some very nice effects. For IE, I use JPGs, and it may not be as pretty. But it works.

The JS based solutions work REALLY well, they're totally drop in. Why not have that PNG love in IE6 too???
Worried about bloat? Don't. Just wrap the script tag in a IE6 conditional.
