put all his shit on the curb.

sorry to tell you but its really hard to evict someone. when i was living in long beach, there was a couple up stairs who just stopped payed the rent. so my 83 year old apartment manager (she) took them to court. she won. but it took her 2 or 3 months. still no money, i think.
- Were they on a/the lease?killerbro
- month to month rent.akrokdesign

"he's on a lease with my girl" ? If he is not on the lease you can boot him. I think
- harlequino0
How is a lease with her even legit? Doesn't the building lease trump everything?
- that's what I thought, but I'm not sure and I'd hate to have the locks changed and then get in trouble.doesnotexist

videotapes? like... sex?
- I wouldn't be surprised, he really creeps us out.doesnotexist
- doesnotexist0
he won't leave, as in, he's ignoring our termination of lease letter, he's not on the original lease with the building - we are. he's on a lease with my girl.
- fuck the letter, talk to him!monospaced
- we have, numerous times. ends in a fight every time.doesnotexist

Have someone else move in that's bigger and scarier
- morilla0
this is true, if he isn't on the lease you have every right to boot him out right away.
- I hear this too, but he's been here for more than 30 days...doesnotexist

one word: crack house
- monospaced0
shouldn't have to get legal
kick him out - ask him to leave - tell him why
- Meeklo0
what do you mean he doesn't want to leave?
is he on the lease? who owns the place? how many people live there?
- sikma0
don't go through any process.
just tell him it's over. and to get out. preferably now. or at the end of the month.
- morilla0
If that is the case, then you have to go through the process. I have never been through it, but I hear it can be a bitch.
- sikma0
In college I shared a house with 3 other guys.
One of the dudes turned out to be bat shit crazy.
So we gave him Hallmark card that had "Get out." written inside of it.
I know. It was harsh. But at the end of the next day he was gone.
- doesnotexist0
no, seriously though. he's extremely rude, never know if he's in his room or not because he's spooky quiet then we feel like he spies on us and video tapes/records us. Really suspicious behavior and and it's causing a lot of stress and tension. He occupies an extra room in an apt with my girl and I.
- just checking, but are you sure you are not taking amphetamines? they will make you paranoid yo know?Meeklo

Evicting is a lease holder or landlord issue. One of the two, and it's a timely process.
- right, my girl is the landlord and he's not recognizing that.doesnotexist
- do things the civil way, there's not much you can do. Might take 3 months I think.epikore
- I tried kicking a roommate out and regretted doing things the uncivil way.epikore

Can we have a little more backstory? Don't leave out any tasty details.
