trying to help my cousin with his CV and get him a job... but the jobsites hes applying to wont take pdfs as an upload.

Give them what they want, it will ensure the hiring process will move forward; following directions is a big plus.

basically...
you need the resume in word and pdf. also plain txt is good if you need to copy and paste it. in case you word doc has fancy under lines, italic, etc.

You should be able to make a plain text resume look good. It should be a freakin' requirement for new designers. I'm sick of looking at so-called "designed" resumes.

Stop complaining and just make a word version. It'll take 2 minutes and then it's done.

I have my C.V in Word, and PDF just to be on the safe side of things. Remember that you are mainly dealing with Admin and most people if not all use Word. What fun I had trying to copy my layout in word.

Generally it's because recruiters take your cv and paste into their own template. However, http://stvjobs.com allow pdf uploads.
