"aaah you people all hate powerpoint so much.. and say acrobat's better.. so tell me, then, what do you do when they want to change it? come and change their nappies every time they wanna poo poo?"
You open the freakin document, make the changes, and save a new PDF. Done. Acrobat IS better.

..and how do you fit a printed page's worth of copy onto a single page, without animation? Believe it or not you can actually make powerpoint look good, but that would take thinking outside of the box, y'see.

*Note to self, if designers do use powerpoint and their clients' knowledge is greater, then deisgner is certified 'client's bitch' for life.

you client is right. There is an option to print greyscale. You can set up your greyscale settings in the master pages (I think). You can specify it not to print colour images etc in the greyscale version. Maybe that's what they're talking about
________________________________...Go to the slide master.
View | Grayscale
Right-click the picture and choose Grayscale Settings. Choose White or Don't
Show.Repeat in Black and White View. (Maybe necessary, maybe not, doesn't hurt to
check.)This only affects black and white or grayscale printing -- the image still
shows up in color.

Get them to send you an example of a presentation where it does what they describe and you'll either: A) figure out the issue and resolve it B) be able tell them they're full of it (surely something will come up).

You can assure him that it should not print the Powerpoint presentation incorrectly by default.

I did a powerpoint template for a client which has a big jpg on the title page. The client is insisting there is a way to get powerpoint to drop the image when printing (only printing text) in order to save ink. Is might be just a printing preference or something but he seems to think it should happen automatically and that I've done something wrong. Has anyone ever come across this? Its driving me mad!
