    you client is right. There is an option to print greyscale. You can set up your greyscale settings in the master pages (I think). You can specify it not to print colour images etc in the greyscale version. Maybe that's what they're talking about

    Go to the slide master.

    View | Grayscale

    Right-click the picture and choose Grayscale Settings. Choose White or Don't
    Show.

    Repeat in Black and White View. (Maybe necessary, maybe not, doesn't hurt to
    check.)

    This only affects black and white or grayscale printing -- the image still
    shows up in color.
