What will be the big and deciding rules controversy this year?
I think the limit on the number of engines will open avenues of weaseling heretofore unseen in F! I mean, I know that's being done to save the poor teams on budget, but I imagine the Ferraris and McLarens will be cheating there.

It's official, the US is back in Formula 1.

a hastily thrown together (and incomplete) one stop shop for f1 crap

I'm watching the replay of the Monaco race, and it's very clear that Brawn had a big advantage coming into this season.... Button is a great driver, no argument, but that car is definitely the highest performer based on this year's restrictions... a lot like McLaren winning a few seasons ago with their advanced braking mechanisms under cornering/steering conditions.
Lewis Hamilton doesn't have a chance this season. Sorry mate, no repeat championship this year. Probably not even a podium.
- That's because Ross Brawn is a fucking genius.flashbender

WTF...
Hope Massa is all right...

Something hit his helmet right?

Massa was hit by a suspension spring, but he is fine now...
- JerseyRaindog0
It's confirmed he's ok but definitely not racing. This could have ended up just like surtees crash last week - incredibly unlucky.
- JerseyRaindog0
I really hope it's not the case but it sounds like Massa's career may be over due to damage to his left eye. Get well soon Felipe.

Fisichella to drive for Ferrari for the rest of the season - confirmed.

looks like piquet jr. crashed because Briatore asked for it
- serious_cat0
briatore denies and goes for lawsuit. i tend to believe piquet more.
- DRIFTMONKEY0
So, Piquet is saying he was asked to crash out, and agreed to do it. Whatever the reasons, he ultimately made the decision to crash his car, which I think is pretty messed up.

piquet is just sour because he doesn't have a job anymore! he should be fined and renault should be very heavily penalised, not only because they encouraged dangerous driving and risked their driver and others, but also because it put the sport into disrepute. until this F1 teams and drivers had a fairly good rep with their fans (ok, minor issues with maclaren/ferrari last season).
Before i liked renault, a decent team, but now i think alonso should run away and leave them to it.
to continue on... alonso should drive for ferrari next season instead of kimi, who is clearly disinterested in the sport and his team and wants to move to rally anyway. ferrari should also definitely keep fisichella in until massa is back to race fitness too.
