Michael Phelps isn't consistent with a Breakfast Cereal Co? Cannabis smoking is frowned on, is it? Michael's image is no longer good enough for your breakfast cereal box?
I've just finished registering my complaint with Kellogg. This is what I had to say:
Gentlemen, Kellogg's has just finished alienating millions of adults across the U.S. Most of these are young adults who's kids eat your products. I'm referring to your dropping Michael Phelps for his marijuana photo. If you were concerned for your image you've gone from the frying pan into the fire. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if your products are boycotted. I hate to tell ya guys, but the world has changed. The people that would approve of your actions don't eat your products - the people you just finished making angry by saying a thing they do isn't suitable for your image do. Or did. My money says that by this time tomorrow you'll start to wonder whether that was a good idea. Michael Phelps is a much beloved star Olympic athlete. Even those that oppose marijuana repeal were going "oh well.." You've just smacked every pot smoker in the country. I'd reconsider this if I was you. If that won't work for you, I wish you luck.In consideration of the low esteem Kelloggs has for tokers I think I'll refrain from buying any more of their products until they change their tune. Apparently the image they're protecting is one of anti-cannabis. One of ours isn't good enough for their boxes. Two can play at that. I don't think their boxes are any longer good enough for my shelf.

the lion's-share of kellogg's consumers are children. small children. if you can't make the connection between a kid's role model smoking pot and kellogg's dropping him, then you probably need to cut back on the ganja.

I'm sorry for Mikey.. but I can't care less about who or what is on the covers of the very delicious cereal selections I choose to enjoy with pleasure every morning (and sometimes late nights, why not, cereal is after all, delicious).
Before M Phelps was around, I was already enjoying cereal, In fact, I have never bought a box of cereal with him on the cover to be honest, and I have at least 3 different (monthly rotating) cereal boxes on my kitchen.
I can't drop, I won't.
