But seriously though I would pick an independent high street optician. They will test your eyes and refer you to an eye hospital if they think there could be a problem that isn't corrected by glasses. Does peripheral light cause you discomfort?
Try looking through a tube and see if that alleviates the discomfort, or make 'binoculars' out of your hands and look through that to see if it lessens.

Occupational hazard.... unfortunately. I got glasses last year, sucks, needed a pair prescription sunglasses for driving...and normal pair for other everyday stuff. I avoid wearing them as much as possible because I think it slowly makes them worse.
On the plus side...you see the world in HD...it's amazing! lol

i know the feeling. my eyes are f***d, well one eye actually.
i can't wear contacts as the specialist reckons i won't be able to get used to the prescription.godamn eye disease!
