Stupid question. Do the Mac and Windows versions run the same file types?
- BuddhaHat0
Yes. 2008 for mac and 2007 for PC both support the .docx, .xlsx etc file types.

don't you mean .doc and .xls?
- that's the old formats, but they work too - try open office https://www.openoffi…spot13

ah okay, thanks. open office hasn't caught up yet.

the DOCX and XLSX are Office Open XML formats that are ISO certified, OpenOffice should open those... it's the same format they use.

Do you just need to copy-paste the content from MS-Office into something else like InDesign or a web CMS?
or do you need to know how the MS-Office file looks in order to see a mockup of some kind?
In eiither case, I convert it to PDF, then cut-paste stuff from the PDF
http://www.pdfonline.com/convert…Or do you really need it to be perfect and go back and forth between MS-Office Mac and Windows over and over again, not just once?
if that's true, you may need
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/d…and/or a few visits to some unhappy IT Department dudes who may have to upgrade the whole office due to one client file type and blow their budget.... or at least that happened at one agency I worked at once.....
- if you only needs to read it, upload it to the microsoft cloud, or google driveuan
- or just open in TextEdit or Previewmonospaced
- textedit.... and/or notepad++ which usually fixes the quotes and aposttrophesvaxorcist
- 2nd draft, unable to see their edits. TextEdit skews things like bullets differently.bklyndroobeki
- will try the PDF conversion.bklyndroobeki

yeah i hear you vax.
GoogleDocs does not allow for TrackChanges unfortunately or else I'd try to ween them off of Office for the work that they are doing.

MS OFFICE is online on Microsoft Live, you can access all of the Office programs there. I guess GoogleDrive made em do it!
IT'S FREE
