bit of snow here, not too bad; have never ever seen it get so that transport etc is canceled up here, although to be fair, its far far more snowy down south than its probably been in central scotland for ages

There isn't many people in my office, wish I had stayed in bed!
- paraselene0
there are so few people here that they haven't even bothered to turn on the overhead lights!

I got up at 6.30, put on my tracky's, necked a provigil pill and a can of red bull and stepped onto the balcony to go for my morning run.
Took one look at the snow and thought, "No chance."
Unfortunately i couldn't go back to bed as i was jacked up on pep pills and caffeine. So the next hour i spent in a restless eyes closed state, fuelled by paranoia that i had 2 hours before i had to leave for work.
In any case... I made it!!

Honestly, it's a national embarrassment. The whole south east grinds to a halt..... Because of the weather. SRSLY
That's some titanic gheyness right there...

why do they cancel trains which run UNDER THE GROUND anyway in these cases, is it cos the drivers and staff can't get in to work, or is it actually something to do with the trains themselves?
- They're only partially underground. Significant portions of the line are overground.Khurram
- ah course, does it basically go overground soon as you hit the outer zones?kelpie
- Also, no buses are running in London, so all commuter traffic has overwhelmed the underground.Khurram
- Yes. Anywhere between zone 3-6 is mainly overground - the commuter belt.Khurram
- The depots where the trains sleep are above ground

Plus, as Spooky said, they all drive like knobbers and will most likely crash and add to the traffic misery

They're probably on strike on Kelpie because they're not allowed to build snow men with the rest of us.
- Chimp0
what your building a snow man! I have bloody 'build' a poster for 1000 free texts!
