Came across this today:
http://www.ayushsaran.com/I remember seeing one a few years ago that had the same concept - except his style was more illustrative.
Rip or not?

At the very bottom of the site:
"
If this is a 'wood' style website, where is the piece of paper with coffee cup stains on it ?I tried to go minimalist with this re-design and avoid clique ornamentation like notepads and wrinkled paper with coffee stains.

I wouldn't call that a rip. I'd call that some guy who had the same idea and executed it differently. I'm pretty sure I saw a couple people come up with the same idea when I was in school almost 10 years ago. It's a reasonable idea to come up with.

Not really a rip. I did know of the Noe site, but it didn't remind me of that.

they totally ripped off that awesome Nsync video.

flagrant rip...if that's not a rip what is? Can I just change the color?
BTW the original is better executed.

Who cares really, both cheesy ideas, one executed far far far better than the other.
Everything is a rip, half the people on here are still designing stuff that look like old Bauhaus posters.

Verdict: Guilty of 3rd degree Batesole
Sentence: who gives a shit

I don't get the ketchup--it's an okay condiment, but is it really part of his design workflow?
- spork0
Apparently he likes to "eat" ketchup

I like the olde PowerMac G5 and tri-base Cinema Display...

and I didn't mean to call this guy out, I came across this today and reminded me of Noe Design's site (thanks wordsinyourmouth btw). Wanted to see what other people would think.
