I need some clarification on the license agreement that comes with it.
The Smashing Mag post it says:
"Dalton Maag design team designed a beautiful sans-serif Aller Sans, sponsored by Danish publishing company Aller (hence the name). The typeface was designed as part of the Danish School of Media and Journalisms new CI and is now available for free use and download"
But the DaMa license says:
"The Font Software is for exclusive use by DSMJ until 1 September 2010 after which
Dalton Maag may commercially exploit the Font Software. After this time DSMJ may
no longer distribute the Font Software but is entitled to use the Font Software in
perpetuity within the terms and conditions of the EULA."To me that sounds like Smashing Mag got it wrong and that you can't use it until late 2010, right? OR am I missing something?

Seems like you're missing nothing except the ability to use the font commercially until September 2, 2010.

seems like if DSMJ are free to use it as they wish till 2010 and giving it away is how they are "using" it then it should be kosher.
