hi folks. i've been asked to design a CV for a mate of mine and she has to email it to the company via a link from a web page. i've designed it in illustrator but when i convert it into a pdf and attach it into the email, the quality degrades and the text is very small..
any other ways i can do this?
thnx

export with a higher dpi? are you exporting at 72 at the moment? do it at 300

Illustrator is usually great as exporting to PDF as its all vector artwork... Have you used loads of pictures in there or things that are getting rasterised then compressed to hell?

do you not have PDF presets like in indesign? just change from web to press or something.

Why make it in illy?
Use Indesign.

Try setting the preset to high quality print and see how it goes, other than that, like MSL said, if you're using low res raster images, you'll end up with a poor quality pdf

Alternatively, save as an eps, then convert it in Adobe Acrobat, see how that goes for ya.

what do you mean 'the text is very small' - YOU designed it!
