Hope this isn't considered spamming...
A good friend of mine designed a new lamp and is now trying to sell it on eBay. He also builds them and hopes to sell other variations on the lamp there too.

It's not spamming if you're upfront about it, it's somehow relevant, something people might enjoy and you're not being a cock about it!
Quite a fun little piece... not cheap though, eh?
I wonder how stable it is - looks like a knock from the wrong angle might send it keeling forward, smashing the bulb into desk?

Is it a limited edition? Might help justify the price tag a little if it were, and stated as such.

If he makes them by hand then $500 doesn't seem that high (going by the cost of what other things by hand are, even prints).
