Here's the real story.
I personally own a PC desktop, have done for years. I use a MacBook Pro laptop for work.
My PC rcently got PWND by a virus. Although it has beasty-good hardware, high-spec and all, my PC has been terribly unrelaible - very "delicate"... I have to be super carely about updates, installing new stuff etc. Most new stuff makes it fall over. It's a pain in the ass.
So, I was thinking, yeah, I'm tired of this, time to get me and iMac. Ditch PCs / Windows altogether...
...but can I still develop my site (in ASP)?
...starts thread on QBN.
So far my conclusion is... PHP is ore flexible corss-platform, but neither my Mac laptop or current flaey PC support is natively.
If I did want to make the full-time switch to Apple - I thought that'd serve up PHP no trouble, but it seems I need to mess with settings to get this working.
I'm bored of this now. I just want to get things moving. Any advice?

to get PHP working on mac? just download MAMP http://www.mamp.info/en/index.ph… and you're basically done. it has php, apache, and MySQL in one package.
