Anyone ever use Daisy?

alot of ppl are saying wordpress, but i've tried to use wordpress for making simple sites... it came out awful, loads of bugs, things not spacing out correctly, entries not wrapping around images etc. any good tutorials or guides for taking advantage of the wordpress cms?
