I've recently got laid-off and now the job market is so competitive that almost every listing states they want some knowledge of web. I think freelance and full-time wise web design is more flexible to get jobs and adhere to the level of design knowledge one must have now.

i took a flash class at sva and thought it was the biggest waste of time and money...
