I feel great about it

I am waiting to see if the hype is real. I voted for him. But I need the change to work. I do not want hollow hope and false truth.

Sean Hannity has rebuked the voting majority for crazing over a man, believing him to be "our Lord and savior."
I ask, who has given us more reason to believe?

i am running out of hope...

personally all the hype burned me out.
sure, no one wanted a republican, and it's great he's "african american" and has this whole change slogan backing him up.
but i can't help feeling a bit uneasy about him, almost like there is something about to happen other than what we expect...*all i know is all truth will come to light.
- i don't understand your quotation marks. do you think he might be faking it?********
- no but i think too many people put emphasis on the fact that he's black. i see a man. that is all.sea_sea
- he's mixed race, not African American********
- didn't you just put emphasis on it?plash
- He was installed to crash the US economy and manage the transition to the Amero/ NAUukit
- (j/k)ukit
- actually it was the media that emphasized color. i'm sorry you're burned out even before the inauguration... shall we wake you when things get better?ItTango

Even if you refrain from praising him, consider the alternative.
And consider what we've had for the last 8 years.- what we've had is no domestic attacks and a good economy sans the past 2 years********

Hope he can make a difference.
I bet most hard-core Republican media will make it as difficult as possible for him. Democrats in the congress and senate will be more of a pain in the ass to him than Republicans once they realize he's a centrist. Republicans will begin to respect him and support him...
Not what I'm hoping for but this is what I think will happen.

My biggest fear is that the Obama administration will fall prey to the same problem as the Bush administration. The liberal think tanks will have their pet policies already devised, and there will be huge pressure to implement those policies without any analysis or critical thinking about whether it is the right policy for this time.
- waterhouse0
Fear not so much, ukit. Obama's highly aware of Clinton's first term mistakes.
- CyBrain0
Also, whoever will be pressuring Obama can't be as evil as the people Bush was in bed with.

I don't like how he bashed Bush in the process... no respect. Let's see if he can keep us safe during his term. The jury is still out.
- i bet he does a better job in regards of leadership ...plash
- we'll have to wait and see********
- yeah. he should have left George, the pres of the last 8 years, out of it. Evil, Obama, evil...ItTango
- What else would all the "change" talk be about? NOBODY respects Bush. Except you apparently.joeth
- you don't have to like him to respect him. he did his best... whatever.********

If Obama f*cks up, the only person we can thank is Shepard Fairey for making a poster than frames him as a dictator... he was warning us in his own special way...

Though any speculation on how he will govern is largely rhetorical, I am wildly optimistic. Not just because he's the President-elect, but because of the ripple affect his election has caused. The unifying result of his candidacy is undeniable, and the belief that government must ultimately serve the people just got a good dusting off.
My point is, it's not just about Obama. He did not elect himself.
It's not simply about being African American. If every AA in the US (including the children) voted for him, he would still have been about 80% shy of winning the election. If anyone here attended the rally, you saw a sea of color that would put Pantone to shame.
No, I'm not burned out, and I refuse to leave my boy hangin'. I'm down for the long haul and if you voted for him you should be too.
