something similar to http://katyperry.com/ where the splash page initiates the song and when a user enters the website the song is still streaming..
anybody have any other solutions to avoid not being able to link to individual pages on the site?

This has been my everest.
The closest I came was a buggy rewrite of the Flash XSPF player that would keep track of the song when you clicked a page and as long as the same player/playlist was on the new page, it could remember where you were and start the song from that point on the new page. (Slight pause/hiccup as it had to re-load the playlist/player).It worked maybe 50% of the time, and the rest of the time it would just stop the audio when you go to a new page.
If this sounds interesting to you, I can try to dig out the link, but i assure you, it was not really a solution that felt any good.

damn frames.. that was my only solution and just finding a way to still be able to point to direct page url's..

there are ways you can enable linking directly to pages within framesets by parsing a url with javascript. kind of like the way swfaddress works with flash content, but you could do it with frames.

try using ajax for page loading the you can still track the links with google tracking, seo might not be a great idea though, depends on how you build it.

i guess frames with some url parsing is my best bet..

probably going to do this with frames.. anybody work with frames that expand to the size of the content within the frame.. so i can avoid those scrollbars
