Remember PS 87? There was an airbrush tool and some arrows pointing out thing? Layers?

I'd love to know why they decided to start adding the most fucking annoying thing ever... the link in the toolbar. WHY the hell did they do that? That gave me years of grief. Glad it's gone now. The blue Ps logo still takes up screen space needlessly though

Honestly I don't notice or think about the tools in the pallette thing there, in the same way you don't think about a pen when yr writing, 90% of time on the commonest tools, it's keyboard shortcuts all the way, one hand on the keyboard, one on the mouse - they could add a new button and I might not see it for months.
meh, n that.- I am addicted to keyboard shortcuts.epete22
- alt+ctrl+shift+s is a verb in our house.
Well, it should be.mikotondria3

one should also note that the original photoshop was installed from a couple of floppy disks and could run on a machine less powerful than most people's cell phone. The newest takes up well over a gig of space on my machine. They really need to optimize the thing. Enough with the tools. Speed, efficiency and stability please.
- the tools haven't really even changed either.....I mean with the advents in tech and all..epete22

I'm start using PS from version 2.5 on Win3.11. The best version of PS for me is 3.0. Version 4 have ugliest type tool.

Hmmm, let's see. I think my first Adobe products were PS 4.5, and eventually when I picked up Illustrator and got into using that pretty often, it was on version 8.0 I believe.
Unrelated note -- started using Flash on 4.0.

Yep, when I was 13 or so my friend's dad had Photoshop on the floppy disks. He had no idea what it was or why he had it, so I stole it. It was awesome back then.

awesome...good old days...I didn't even know anything about "layers" and put everything in one single layer and end up about to kill myself when something goes wrong...PS5...
