OK so i had bumped a different thread but here's another... just looking for a 2020 update.
what's a reliable solution for just general hosting? a handful of sites, forums, medium level bandwidth. i've had webfaction for years but i'm raising eyebrows at their transition to tsoHost under godaddy.
thanks for any suggstions! opalstack had been previously recommended, which i'm looking into , but am just trying to fidn the best option out there. thanks

Replaced 5 servers hosted in 2 locations. Migrated lots of small sites and a few high-demand systems in the last 20 days. the admin sums up:
"Absolutely, thanks for setting these up. Everything runs smooth and if i have to compare cpanel is like an old lady who must be accompanied to the grocery store every day.
Plesk is that gal in your age who doesn't need to be
reminded of what she wanted 5 minutes ago...
Just have to disable the updates, she can still run away."Cpanel suxx and everyone who sells it.
- "Cpanel, so easy a designer can use it."GuyFawkes
- I'm so happy with DreamHostoey_oey
- @GuyFawkes lol their ui suxx regardless of what icon set or customization hosting companies apply. Plesk is far better according to the subcontractors.********
- but those are 3rd parties.
idk, if find it friendly. we can share access to specific things without the admin, things are much more handy for the devs...******** - we have a production server with plesk, and it's really nice that you can connect it (with the proper rights) to the entire office network.********
- *i find it friendly.********
- A simple update preview on wordpress site can be provisioned and reviewed by the client without using any fancy application or hustle (like dev location etc.).********
- Im a dev, my current gig is about 1500 funnels on AWS, i fuckin hate it but thats why i have a jobGuyFawkes
- I hate AWS so much ive been considering getting back into animationGuyFawkes
- Agreed, AWS is such a mess, so scattered with redundant services and constant change, it has a place but could be so much better with some leadershipspot13

https://www.hostinger.com/- Don't use it unless you're doing something shady heh

migrated from VPS to KVM with Hostinger. I was down about 48 hours with DNS updates, nameservers and the general server setup. Probably could have been a little bit less painful since I was all ready established with them, yet it slaps.

Elementor hosting if you're doing Wordpress

Their site won't impress you, but these guys are hands down the best. I host every client site here for over 10 years.

You can choose different data centers around the world depending on where you're serving.- Their non-cPanel interface actually looks like it works nicely.Continuity
