Am I the only one who finds it disconcerting that were are now remaking films that are only about ten years old? Is this a spiralling post-modern phenomenon? Is someone somewhere already thinking about how they will cast the part of The Riddler for the 2012 remake?

Agreed. Also remaking foreign films. I saw (rec) a few months ago when it were released and it was already being remade by hollywood. I mean, it didn't even have a chance to be shown on its own merits before it was remade.
