My boss at my last company was a tight-arse, and even skimped on the instant coffee. I can't remember the name of the other brand, but this was utter bile

Many years ago I was doing an all-night drive from Sydney to Brisbane (15 hours) with on of my band-mates. We were stopping for coffee every couple of hours just to make sure we stayed on top of the whole sleep thing. About 12 hours in, we stopped at a roadhouse where they had self-serve coffee brewing in one of those glass jugs. Obviously it had been sitting there perking away for quite some time. It was a bitter, luke-warm, stewy, weedy mess. In our coffee-ed up state, neither of us realised quite how bad it was until an hour or so later when we were stopped at the roadside puking it back up.
