So who decides what’s in and what’s not? Is it one in, all in? Does Hedge/MarketMaker get to put his in? What about some awesome designer who maybe has a low profile on QBN? Is this a popularity contest or a serious judgement of members’ work? Do these questions spell immediate disqualification for me?

Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a great idea, I just think it could lead to some animosity amongst the various strata of this great, but let’s face it, chaotic place.

but business wise to make sure the book will sale, it's wiser to have an editor who hold the key, that will be an ugly job. just my two cents

janne whilst i agree that you will need editors, a select jury to make a decision on what work gets in makes this a competition. not exactly in the spirit of the pvn.

Why not have a call for submissions where any member can submit a "page?"
The top 30 (or so?) vote earners make the cut. Final product is a lookbook of freeform work - a page per artist.

i don't mean select designers, but select say X pieces from an Y number of submissions. So we can find a good visual balance!

If QBN's involved and sponsoring the book doesn't it make sense to have them make the selections of what is in the book and what isn't? Voting will just cause animosity and favoritism in my opinion.

Well, whatever happens I am going to keep my fool-arse out of it until I get some sort of official entry form/invite in the QBN newsletter.
But if I miss out, I’m going to be very angry, and I think you’ve all seen my picture by now!
