I can laugh at a lot of things and that was kind of offensive and not very funny.
- But Rosie O'Donnell was just born ugly?waterhouse
- Life is not fair.somatica

Yea, I kind of agree. But then again SNL is not too funny these days anyway.

I love how he interrupted Amy's goodbye speech.

the interruption parts were funny. I guess the whole thing was funny but I see the offensive aspect of it. Some people are just meant to get up in arms about anything that slights anyone, I guess it's their mission in life. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn…
And that wandering eye was unreal.

Not available in my country.... WTF with all those "not in your country" ???
Iam in Kanada, not in... Afghanistan!

That was the first *live* thing from SNL that made me laugh in a long time. "Going too far" is what comedy is supposed to do.

i have to agree, while everyone at work was laughing over it. i found it rather offensive and down right fucked up. there are limits, and disabilities are certainly one of them. then again snl has nothing good, and with amy leaving they are screwed between a rock and a hard place.

HAHAHAHA I LOVE LAUGHING AT THE DISABLED!
- Llyod0
lame. snl sucks

I think the reason Patterson and others got pissed is because it promotes the idea that blind people don't know what the hell is going on.
He (Patterson) is really the only prominent blind person in the country, so he probably feels like a role model to show that blind or handicapped people are as capable as anyone else. Then, SNL pissed all over that with by going for the easy joke with this skit.
Just my 2 cents on it.

i laughed, but then i have absolutely no fucking clue who he is.
and will ferrell's harry caray was my favorite character of all time. not sure if he was actually disabled but ferrell sure played him like he was.

Oh cry me a river and I'll piss in it.
So just because someone has a disability, they are "off-limits"?
He should be thanking them that they treated him just like they would any other public figure who has done copious amounts of cocaine and cheated on his wife.
Seriously, haha.
"Come on, I'm a blind man who loves cocaine who was suddenly appointed governor of New York. My life is an actual plot from a Richard Pryor movie." hahahhaha
- I think he laughed. He just had to say something because of his position...TheBlueOne
- ..and the Richard Pryor line is pure gold...TheBlueOne
- I'm positive he laughed, because he is a good humoured person. I find it kind of hypocritical that he had to make a statement when I'm positive he laughed.flavorful
- make a statement when I'm positive he laughed.flavorful
- Oh my G-d, that line is pure gold, hahahh.flavorful
