Any suggestions on a good photography magazine? It's really for a gift for a student photographer but don't let that sway you too much I am intersted myself.

offer him a book. Magazine are almost always fiiled by advertising and tests carbage. I now one in Belgium that 'could' be interesting but you may not be liivng in that country. (view magazine) http://www.viewmag.be/
I think you learn soo much more by viewing one photographer's book rather than magazines. "learn how to make macro, how to shoot kids, how to shoot birds" blablabla
- know, know one in Belgium you stupid. go learn English lazy bastardogoygoygoy

actually i would ignore my first two and would STRONGLY recomend aperture mag due to its long history in the photographic community.

go with a book.
Jill Greenbergs "monkey portraits" is dope and if you can get your hands on Burtons "28 days of winter (snowboarding)" both awesome shows of what can be done in photography
