I wonder how Eric Jordan would have responded to Luke Yoo of Floodgear back in 1998 concerning an "inspiration" folder.
By the way, how much do these folders costs and where can i get one?

y'all are lame... dude came in here and basically admitted that he bit the shit, but called the original piece his inspiration, and is selling merch with OP's design (more or less).
this is a global agency, not some school project. you all would be up in arms if the OP was a regular poster here...

- most people have inspiration folders
- if you design you will rip, even without realising it
- if you are a designer that makes your work public you will be rippedyou must see past what being ripped is. the problem with what you deem as an original idea is flawed. you have no original ideas, you only have ideas that are formulated from the mixture of other ideas built on top of them.
you think as an individual and that 'your' design begins and end with your hand. well it doesn't and it never will. it's a tough pill to swallow but unfortunately whether you like it or not you are directly linked in varying degrees of wavelengths of taste and aesthetic appreciation to your next man.
design cannot evolve and trends cannot emerge without this practice, so please get over it. in a way look at it like this 'your' (or what you deem your work) work is like a strong gene that become prevalent in the incestuous pit of the pool of now connected creativity.
we are human, and men do not stand alone but on the shoulders of others.
