I think he looks awesome, he is a man of style no matter what you think of his fashion sense. For anyone - and there are increasingly millions of you, that haven't endlessly listened to the Smiths albums over and over, then please do so - as poignant and dark, and humourous and honest poetry as there is - his work in the smiths lends itself to implanting verbatim in ones memory for decades after...summairily dark, but bitter-sweet illuminations of the tragic, lonely and futile corners of life we all find ourselves in, many years on in good times and bad, Mozza's ironic musings maintain their ability to amuse, shock, comfort and scorn us - if you ever had a suspicion you were taking yourself too seriously, you probably were - Morrissey's work holds a mirror to our pointed faces in an effortlessly efficient snarkless and parental way; the man can do little wrong, and his accidental fame is borne well on his awkward shoulders. If you don't understand what he's saying, you're probably not listening hard enough, or he's just that much smarter than you. And me.

New Order was better
- no - Joy Division was.
New Order never did anything different.mikotondria3 - it's all a matter of taste I guess. I think New Order are more sonically interesting than the Smiths,.ukit
- But Morrissey did have great songwriting.ukit
- meh new order just sounded like drunken intellectual disco to me.mikotondria3
- Blue Monday not different enough for you?SteveNo
- it was good, but not vastly different to a lot of the ny/detroit/chicago proto-house.mikotondria3
- "proto-house"
FUCKING MASSIVE LOLmodern - Smiths, Joy Division, New Order, in my opinion.CyBrain

I cant see how he's denying hes gay? the album called years of refusal. It could mean a variety of things but its potentially another little dig at the press for not actually saying he's gay,
He likes to tease people by saying nothing and having lyrics that suggest otherwise, its the game he plays and you either love him or loath him, Im a fan and think the covers great.
Also the suggestion the image being sick, "Perish the thought of a gay man holding a baby, he might rape it!"
He might play it cilla black or abba, but Come on people its good!

There's always been far more to Morrissey than just his music. He has managed to get that magic balance of having a career and huge success and a massive fan base who all adore him, whilst at the same time, you get a sense that you don't actually know him and there's always more to find out...
This cover just re-enforces this intrigue.

Like the photo, type is fucking horrible looks like some shit you would find on a james blunt cover. Looks shit when you compare it to the last cover which was awesome.

the type just strikes me as another persons ego clashing with an iconic photo of mozza, so it doesn't gel for me personally. Just some small, understated type would have done the trick.
- I'm hoping its just the mistake of a shit designer and the release will feature understated type.modern
