Jesus.
It's a holding page. The Digital Club are working on their real site... it's been mentioned several times that the whole reason this update is taking forever is that they're going over 7+ years of work that not everyone has really noticed....Wired mag, albums, exhibitions.
Though, it's kind of cool to see what the ex-pats are doing; UE, SandersonBob, Build... incredible.
- Jesus, relax, nobody has really been bitchin too badly about out!
But I for one can't wait!!uncle_helv - I didnt know SandersonBob is ex DR? Lovely work.

When I read through one of these threads, I can't help but picturing the QBN posse as a multiplied version of the two old dudes on the balcony from the Muppets™. My God, we all know tDR are good. Are they perfect and satisfy everyones aesthetic taste? Of course not. But it's a temporary landing page, for crying out loud? I understand it's not the most amazing page people have ever seen, but to rip tDR as a company like they're some unknowing toy straight out of art school. Come on now.

- At last, someone says something clever in this thread.DataSelected
- tDR IS a toyAnders

i retract all my previous statements about their work.

The TDR secret is drugs to get inspired... they took drugs at any time while work. Ask some ex-tdr, you will see! :D
Cheers

typist - an spoke at length about being pigeonholed as a producer of a particular type of work, i think this is a move to try and break the stereotype of tdr works... if they can get some good account managers in they should do well
- MikeJ0
they are using akkurat at tdr??

you know, the thing is, with designers, they always got something to comment, even if it's so close to perfection.. we are just a bunch of whiners.. and what have i got? nothing.
ok,
i will stand in the corner now and have my head hanging down towards the walls..
- janne760
not commenting a holding page, seen quite a bit of their work.
some is nice, some is not my cup of tea... to each their own i guess.
- mistermik0
to be honest i think you can over analyse a holding page.

I know what you are saying janne. Their work is diverse, they have a wide range of clients, they work across different media and they have been around for many years... I can't fault any of this.
However, the branding of their own business has been a bit ropey over the years and in many ways overshadows the quality of their work... That gimmicky little icon thing... I just don't get it.
- true, true. but perhaps i am thinking something else here. somehow their work does only fit within a fashion... hmm..janne76

yeah tis ok, but they go too much on trends imho. i like it, don't misunderstand me here..
but generally, the portfolio's i really enjoy have surprising style deviations in it, like completely different solutions to different design assignments..

What kind of thing did they submit Rybo? ... obviously not to give too much away, but was it a digital file or a print they sent in the post... typical TDR style or something unexpected???
