sweet. I am in San Francisco. That sounds like a great deal, $600 for a 50 book run. Do you have a link for said printer... i'll keep my eyes peeled in the states, but i doubt I could find such quality for such a great price.

in fact, with the exchange rate being what it is, you could upload a pdf and print it here, mail them back in amounts of 10 (or fed ex) and it may be cheaper with a better result then you get at home? our dollar has tanked here in aus.

where are you? city - country?
if you are going digital, look around for either HP or Kodak's new offset digital printer/presses. the results are amazing. we just did (i sublease floor space from a digital printed) 50 books - 56pgs, perfect bound with matt cello on the covers for approx $940 (australian dollars) and the quality is sensational. the printer is the HP 5500 and is great. we sapphire coated the stock so it could be printed digitally and all went well.
this kind of thing would be great for a folio booklet.

well don't have them print it, hell no, just have them perfect bind it.
- I guess you should just have whoever prints it do that though...if they have the perfect binding machine.doesnotexist

Im always afraid of the outcome with them, might as well spend the money to avoid the headache, but i guess if it comes down to it, i would go there.

you could have the pages printed somewhere, don't cut them leave the trim, and then have Kinko's perfect bind them & cut...?
