i go back to my apt and notice somethings obviously not right. things are ever so slightly moved around. then i noticed they came in for bug spray cus it smells like shit. they used to have a notice for these thigns and if you don't need it you don't sign up. this time theres no notice and they just entered without permission.
is this shit legal?

I just skimmed it like this:
Landlord. Shit. Entered without permission.
I totally thought you found a biscuit in the toilet, and your landlord leaving as you came home.

I thought most leases allow access by your landlord. My dad always told me to keep values in a secure space. But I also have heard for things like showing an apartment, and they want to use yours they have to give over a 24 hour notice.
These kind of things are always a greasy mess of "rules"

Is his name Bill Lika?

Varies from state to state, but usually the landlord MUST give notice or ask permission before entering.
I lived in a place once owned by an 80 year old guy with increasing dementia. He went in and locked me out completely because the place was messy. Changed the locks on me. It was messy cuz I was packing to move. He didn't remember even though he had written notice.

I set up booby traps and the like so I can tell if people came into my place while I wasn't there.
My friends laugh ... but I'll know. I'll fucking know.
- You use claymores?univers
- Just a tied string on your door knob would work. o'diabolical one********
- You should tie those into lifesize cutouts of yourself. When tripped, the cutout spins around, and your voice...harlequino

no, it's legal. your landlord technically owns the property so he/she can enter at any time. they SHOULD give you notice but they don't need to.
for instant if the place needs to be sprayed for pests and you are not available to open the door for the guy.. your landlord has every right. you're just a renter.

No, your landlord HAS NO RIGHT to enter dwelling without prior notice. California State Law. If you not in Cali, you're fucked anyways.

it's state by state but theeOtherJuan is right, there needs to be notice in a reasonable amount of time (usually 24 hours depending on the state)

yea makes sense

wonder how much those survelance cameras go for.
