Would you say that The Killer are a religion band. I was watching them on BBC2, Later Show last week and was paying attention to there lyrics and it stuck me there is allot of association to religion in there songs. I might be wrong.

the singer grew up mormon i think

His parents raised Brandon and the rest of the family as active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Flowers remains a devout member of the faith.

But they promote there self's as a Rock Indie Band, right.

i only consider a band a religion band if they actually say things like " i love jebus" or "jebus can save you're soul" or "give in to god almighty" etc...
religion, or lack thereof is a major song writing influence so just having an non contextual reference or association doesn't really make a band a jebus humper..

digdre's second favorite band.

yeah, they dont say they are christians or anything like that. i think they are similar to U2 in that regard. both bands have religious views but dont just come out and sing about jesus a la a christian rock band like third day or jars of clay.

I say that I like one song of theirs, the one about not being a soldier, the rest of them sound like jingles written specifically for ads. Expecially the second album.
- when you were young...
does sound like a commercial. haharshackleford

Also, they specifically sound like they want to do the song for a new harvey norman superstore ad.

the first album held my attention more, but still only mildly. nice sound i guess. to be honest haven't listened to the 2nd album all the way through but i haven't heard any singles that interested me
the soldier one was my favorite track, "these things that i've done"

His parents raised Brandon and the rest of the family as active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Flowers remains a devout member of the faith.[3][2]I know for a fact he's a Christian of some sort. I have a friend that's a Mormon and he used to travel to these youth get togethers as a kid out to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Brandon Flowers used to sing gospel/inspirational songs to the crowds.

their new song could quite possibly be the worst track i have ever heard - talk about 'reaching lyrics' are we dancer or are we human? wtf is that shit - down here from here.... hate the album art work too reminds me of Henri Rousseau's 'the sleeping gypsy'

i don't like The Killers. they put me off most 'The' titled bands.
