Just few thoughts went through my mind regarding areative/art directors. Should they know W3C standards, some HTML and CSS limitations or not?
Or should they be focused on creative way of the project and this is all what they have to do.
I know some examples, that creative/art effect was shredded during development process, despite the knowledge and efforts of developers (xhtml coders and programmers).

does your mind really think like this?

This is kinda' silly sounding.
Yes, they should. And almost all of them (if not all) are designers. I think it would be fairly uncommon to find an AD that ascended to their position by not getting down-and-dirty w/ the development side.
Help any?

I think they should know some limitations & have an idea, but the word 'creative' director rather than 'technical' director...

not unless they are interactive ad's or cd's...

If they are younger and have been in the online world for a long time then they will and should. But if they're older, and have been at a large agency for years, then they probably won't, and you'll have to wrangle with that quite often.
