unfortunately yes. i've bought products i don't like anymore cause they had new and exciting packaging. my other half thinks it's hilarious that someone who works in the industry still falls for it. i am a moron.

I'm the biggest for this... I also do the opposite - products that I have an interest in and that are supposed to be great (including stuff I might need), I won't buy them if the packaging/design bugs me enough.
