With that being said.
Matt Holliday is traded from Colorado Rockies to the Oakland Atheltics for Greg Smith, Huston Street and Carlos Gonzalez.
- The A's got him, what in the f*ck were the Yankees and BoSox thinking!?********
- It makes sense for CO to dump him, they need younger talent that don't cost as much********
- They were thinking, we're not going to give up 3 of our best prospects for a guy who will leave after 1 year.calcium
- I'm surprised the A's pulled the trigger considering they have ZERO shot and the price was ready to go down.calcium
- that's what I mean, the Yanks and BoSox try to win it each year, why not go after Holliday?********

And sorry. That infograph is all the trades that went down last year with the lines indicating the level of player they were listed at.

such a sad sight to watch what's left of our sorry team being dismantled before our eyes.
Peavy is about to go, and word on the street is that trevor hoffman is being "politely nudged" out of his spot. Hell even our television commentator jumped ship.
rumor is that John Moores is stripping down the team for sale. dark days ahead. it's really hard to be a fan right now.
- There was an article somewhere this morning, not sure where, that tackled this and was prepping the fans for just what you described.calcium
- just what you described. But you can bank on getting prospects and draft picks, and hope for a Tampa Bay like run.calcium
- Saw that article. A Tampa Bay-like run would be nice, but not getting my hopes up.nocomply
- PS - definitely interested in that poster.nocomply

Nick Swisher and Kanekoa Texeira of the Chicago White Sox goes to the Yankees for Wilson Betemit, Jeff Marquez and Jhonny Nunez. I'm begining to think that the Yankees have naked pictures of everyone else's wives. This and the Pirates trades are RIDICULOUS.
Threadpost, that poster is already done for the 2008 season. I just have to set a good size and price. It looks best at 24"x36" but I know most posters are now 18"x24" For my house I'm getting an enormous sized one printed up. Also these won't be screened just because there are close to 30 different colors.
- eh, those are middle liner deals, I want to see the big boys be dealt.********
- Swisher is a defensive upgrade and platoon. But they still paid nothing, esp. if he has a comeback year.calcium
- eh, I doubt it. He's past his prime IMO********

calcium i'd definitely be interested in buying a poster. 24x36 would be doooope!
also. i'm really sorry to see nick leave the sox. he was a fan favorite and a super nice guy. i know all the guys on the sox loved him. and who the f are the three dopes we got in return? nobody's. you're theory on their wives MUST be correct. hahaha.

Betemit is the anchor coming back to you guys. 7 years in the league with a .260 career avg. Platooned at all infield spots for the Yankees this year as a utility. The guy you put in after the game is 21-1 in the 7th.
Marquez is an "eh" reliever with a 3.67 ERA but gave up a HR in almost every game he pitched in.
Nunez is tracking to be a decent reliever as well. But I wouldn't bank on it cause he swings from 5+ ERA to 1.80 in 2008.
