odd question, but does anyone have a favorite brand or model of pen they prefer over all the rest?
...for general note taking, doodling, etc.
along the same lines, while i lived in japan about 15 years ago i had the coolest mechanical pencil. it looked just like a syringe; the barrel contained fake blood and the plunger controlled the lead. the lead itself was obviously the needle...
ah, good times.

For drawing I typically prefer just a simple black paper mate felt tip pen.
For writing and daily use, I have a nice silver Cross pen that was a gift from my girlfriend, though it broke quite a while ago and I am so lazy about sending it back to get it repaired.

Anyone into fountain pens?
Really nice lines, the ink isn't quite as dense though.

My Lamy Tipo's good for note taking. Not so much for doodling. It really needs good paper to flow properly. I've got one in Kawasaki green.
